We first came here 9 years ago and this place is still stellar. From a fantastic menu, to a cozy atmosphere, to a warm and welcoming waitstaff, this place begs you to kick back and rest your feet after a long day of sightseeing.
The pastas-tagliatelle, ragu sauce , gnocchi-it was all so flavorful, that we passed our plates a few times just to have more things to taste and try. The carpaccio was served on a bed of Arugala (rucola/rocket) and fresh parmigiano cheese). We even got an order of meatballs to share at the table. I do regret not getting dessert, but I wanted to try a gelateria.
This is one place I would come back to with each visit to the city. -

5 stars all the way guys and gals! I went to this place twice, but my husband came here 3 times while we're in Florence. I love their lasagna and pappardelle. My husband got the cut steak which is so delicious. If anyone wants to order the t-bone, please make sure to share. It's a lot! We had that the first night. This place is the best! I got a great amount of lasagna for the price of 12Euro. Everytime I was here with my husband, we end up talking to cute couples. We met a French couple that is together for 40 years. Tonight we met an american couple together 20 years. I have to give these two a shout out to Mike and Denise for treating us newlyweds this dinner. They're so sweet. I feel bad for having them treat us. It was such a nice gesture and I hope they enjoy the rest of their trip.
The waiter, I believe Mauritzzio was his name? Im so sorry if I wrote it wrong. Hes the best and knowledgeable when it comes to drink and food. These people in Florence made my honeymoon unforgettable. Please keep this place alive that way every 5 years I come here to revisit.
I recommend the cut steak and lasagna. -

Yelp lead us to this place but honestly, it was just A-OK.
We didn't have reservations but were luckily early enough Italian time to walk-in without difficulty and were seated on the balcony area.
First strike- ordered an aperol spritz and it wasn't served with an orange slice. Aren't they all traditionally garnished with an orange slice or wedge? Just a minor detail.
We ordered the lasagna and the wild boar with parpadelle. My husband really enjoyed the parpadelle pasta itself but the boar ragu was just ok. Didn't really taste unique. The lasagna was ok and EXTREMELY cheesey, like to the point where the texture is all melted cheese vs meat + ricotta or more firm. Funny thing is we asked them and they don't make their own pasta because their kitchen is small, but it is made fresh every day and delivered in the morning.
Needless to say we were stuffed but I didn't think this was a 4.5 star establishment. Reading the reviews again, I probably should've ordered the osso bucco which is the other entree I was considering. Oh well. -

The service is very friendly & accommodating. I came earlier on a Friday Jan. evening. Quiet. Not busy at all at 06:30 pm. Prices are quite reasonable as is the menu (gnocchi) food being tasty. The only downside was the bread brought to the table wasn't that great. Dry and tasteless. I think that there is an upstairs seating area, too. And yes, they bring tap water to you! Bravo!! I'd definitely recommend coming here.

I loved this place. The food and service were some of the best in florence. The waiter was so kind and taught us so many different italian words and was just overall so kind and helpful with suggestions to eat as well. The pici ragu was so freaking good. I ate every last bite. The meat was so delicious and I loved this thick type of noodle. With our check we had limoncello shots on the house. Just an overall memorable experience and we can't wait to come back
